American ABCS

In February we will take a tour of the USA by the letters. Austin, Baton Rouge, and Cambridge all the way to Zion. Our country contains an endless variety of scenic and historic places. What is special about these places? Take some time to research a location and what it has to offer. Bring the information to the February den meeting for a prize. You can use the library, internet, books, etc. to find out about your location.
This is a good month to work on Citizenship and Geography belt loop and/or pin.
Also, try this for fun. Take a piece of paper and one each line list the letters of the alphabet and next to each letter write a name of a town or place in the USA that starts with that letter of the alphabet. For example:
A-Albany B-Belleville C-Charleston D-Detroit
